Soloing Guide for Sorcerers
::to be finished:: :)
I just have a smattering of notes and information for this, so I'll arrange and write it down as I have time.
How one solos is very much dependent on their specialization. I personally, am mostly familiar with Matter, though I was Body spec for 25 of my levels. Full (or mostly) Mind spec is a new breed, but, mostly a slower damage version of Body or Matter spec soloing. Most veteran Sorcerers, and myself, don't advise a full Mind based specialization, unless of course, you have a group that is always there when you want to level. If you're "going it alone", and hoping that you'll get accepted into groups, you might be in for some disappointment. If you still want to go mostly or full into Mind, wait until you're 40 to iron out your final spec. Till then, get some damage! Anyway-
The Early Years- Soloing a Mage to Level 5
We all get the same spells, a dot, a lifetap, and that little AF shield. There's not a whole lot of strategy that you can eek out of these 3 spells, but depending on what kinda monster you're attacking, you might want to do one or the other first. On most mobs, to get the most "bang" for your power, start with the DoT, and then chain cast lifetap, and then, smack it with your stick. The DoT casts slower than the lifetap, so opening up with it makes it slightly more efficient. That, and it keeps on ticking, and will probably end as you're killing the monster. If you need health, and don't want to sit and wait for it, (and you're over lvl 2!) find something, well, green, and lifetap it to death. You don't have too much of a power issue at this level ;) No place is really better than another at this level.
So, You're A Sorcerer- (5-10)
First order of business: Charm that pet. Now that that's out of the way, you should probably try killing some monsters and learning your spells.

Terrorizing the Neighborhood- (10-15)
Learning you spells, and always itching to pull a practical joke I bet! Like the corpse light that lights people's hair on fire, or that snake in the grass at my feet. Deuling monsters, and confused creatures.

The Resident Expert on Monsters- (15-20)
Yeah, I know you know the levels and locations of *all* the choice spots for your level, but everyone else wants to kill MonsterB at CampA with 35 other people around. Silly, silly fools.

<Yawn-stretch> Can I be 50 now?- (20-30)
You got your pattern and methods down, you wander around just for new scenery. You've taught your pet at least 10 different tricks, though its not really impressing your friends.
Places: 20-23 Keltoi; 23-26 (?); 26-30 Faerie Frogs, Giant Skeletons & Mercenary Tomb Raiders in the Salisbury Plains
Pets: Mercenary Tomb Raiders [26-31]- great tanks, style, evade, parry, various damage types depending on weapon held.
Tactics:
They're all after me!- (30-40)
All those broken mezzes, you *know* its a conspiracy!
Places: 34-40 Snowdonia; 32-40 Avalon Isle
Pets: Arawnite Shamaness [34-35]- ok tank, great DoT, heals, and an assortment of buffs, Lammia Enchantress [35-40+]- great tank, long range attack spd debuff, Drakorans (lots, more details later)
Tactics:
The Strong Silent Type- (40-50)
You stare death in the face, and laugh. That 30 foot tall Medial Telemon charging you with your name on its sword-tip doesn't phase you. Well, so long as you don't get a resist at the wrong time...
